Check out the Empty Bowls ice cream social and other CHS arts events this spring!

CHS has many arts and entertainment events coming this spring. The last stretch of the 2014-2015 school year is going to be packed.

The CHS band has a new change they are bringing in the near future. In the past, they have competed in the Tournament of Band Competition (TOB), but now they will be performing in the Caval-Cade instead. The switch will provide them with more opportunities. The Caval-Cade Association’s mission statement is, “Education through Music.” Look for this new development in the upcoming months.

Shakespeare Troupe is another one of CHS’s A&E groups that has some developing events. Shakespeare is performing the play Macbeth this spring. The opening night date it April 23 and it runs until April 25. Come out and support all your classmates and friends.

The Empty Bowl project is also holding an ice cream social event on May 8, 2015, and will be held from 5:30-7:30. The workshop days that occurred on Feb 28 and Mar 8 were the dates that the bowls were being made. Now, on May 8, the bowls with be used to hold the ice cream for the ice cream social event. The admission is $10 and all the proceeds will be donated to a local charity to help feed the hungry. Art pieces will also be for sale. For more information, contact Mr. Tolan.

The District K-12 art show will be open from April 23 to May 14. Artwork from all grades within the Carlisle Area School District will be on display. The exhibit will be held in the Fowler Technology Center. This is an annual event for the Carlisle Area School District. Please come see what your fellow peers have been creating.
