LISTEN CLOSELY: The halls may appear empty, but as students adjust to returning in the new year they reflect on what they have learned in 2020. Many students shared their stories about how they powered through a tough year to focus on their personalities.

Making Impressions: Carlisle Advances 18 Students to State Level NHD Competition

8th grade student, Bailey Clayville, stands next to her History Day project. Clayville’s project focuses on the impact of Billie Jean King as an icon of change in the realm of women’s sports.

This past Saturday, March 2, several Carlisle Area School District students participated in the PA Region 8 National History Day competition which took place at Messiah University. Out of the students that participated, 18 have won awards for their in-depth research projects and the opportunity to present their findings at the state level. The state level competition will take place at Scranton University on April 20 and 21. The winners of their respective categories are listed below.
