Mia Byus is a freshman at CHS and this is her first year on the Periscope staff. She enjoys sports, especially soccer, and is currently on the CHS varsity soccer team. Right now, she is participating in Freshman Class Council. Both of her parents were in the military and has been to 10 different schools in the past four years. Mia is really looking forward to pursuing her passion in being in the FBI.

The ensemble of the show listens to feedback during the song, Beauty School Dropout. During rehearsals, director Daniel Schade gives corrections and suggestions to the cast.

I like the musical because Im able to portray a kid from the 50s and develop my own perception of who my character is, said senior Nick Otto. Otto is playing the role of Doody, Frenchies love interest.

The cast sets up a party scene on stage. There will be many musical numbers from Grease that include Grease Lightnin and Youre the One That I Want.

Even auditioning was way out of my comfort zone, but I got cast as Betty Rizzo and Ive never had this big of a part before in anything so its been a real challenge adjusting to that, said senior Bri Murray. Here, Murray practices There are Worse Things I Could Do.

Ive really grown in my acting and singing, said junior Ashlyn Ashmore. Overall I just love performing even more. Ashmore is playing one of the lead roles, Sandy.
