On February 6 at 7 p.m., Winter Ball will be held at the Comfort Suites Hotel. This venue, used in the past, offers dance-goers a parking garage and an area to wait inside before the dance begins.

Matt Fahnestock, Student Council advisor, explained Winter Ball’s location will be “more convenient being downtown” and “this year’s theme will be The Great Gatsby.”

Additionally, the dance will “have a photo booth…that students can take their own selfies with,” said Fahnestock.

Leading up to the excitement, Student Council has planned several events and theme days for Winter Week:

Monday – Inside Out & Backwards, Mr. CHS

Tuesday – __ER Day, Wingin’ it!

Wednesday – Salad Dressin’

Thursday – Carlisle Crazies, Pep Rally & Boys Basketball Senior Night

Friday – Royals vs. Peasants

However, in order to successfully organize this, “Student Council works very hard…off campus to provide a unique dance…for CHS upperclassmen,” added Student Council member AJ DeLorenzo.

Additionally, “Student Council puts months of advanced planning into the location, date, and the theme of Winter Ball,” continued DeLorenzo.

Students, such as Junior Caroline Hoffman, attend Winter Ball “to have a fun night with friends.”

Overall, DeLorenzo believes the effort Student Council puts into Winter Ball allows “for an enjoyable school dance experience.”
