The PA Farm is a fun and family friendly place for everyone to visit.

According to the PA farm show website, the PA farm show is the “largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country, with nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits.”

The farm show is held in the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, PA.  The PA farm show website also said, “The Farm Show Complex houses 24 acres under roof, spread throughout 11 buildings including three arenas.”

The farm show started January 4 and hosts a large quantity of events, such as horse cart racing and Professional Cowboy Association Rodeos.

The farm show offers free admission and also offers a free shuttle service. The only fee you must pay is $10 for parking.

Not only does the farm show host a variety of indoor activities and events, but it also has a multitude of food vendors with a large variety of fresh and delicious food to choose and enjoy.

One big farm show favorite is the Dairyman Association milkshakes. These chocolate, vanilla, and mixed milkshakes are made with fresh dairy milk, which gives the milkshake that great taste that is very much enjoyed.

Every year, a butter sculpture is carved and an abundance of free samples of things such as ice cream to tasty dips and sauces are offered.  This year’s butter sculpture is a tribute to the farm show milkshakes, which have been served for the last 60 years.

Also, everywhere you go, you will find any and all types of booths and stands that could appeal to everyone’s likes and hobbies.

Senior Abby Baughman said her favorite part about the farm show was “the food and the animals.”

Senior Amber Krause said, “Ten out of ten–will go again!”

The show ended Jan 11.  Next year’s show will open Jan 10, running until Jan 17.
