With homecoming just around the corner, many girls are snagging cute dresses and statement shoes at stores such as Charlotte Russe and Forever 21.
Homecoming brings forth several questions in student’s minds: what will I wear, what colors are in, what are this year’s styles? All of these questions fly through the head’s of Carlisle High School student’s.
Well this year a whole new line of colors and styles are making an appearance.
For girls, white alone is a popular color choice. Along with plain white, black comes in popular also. The colors of the year are simple and elegant. Sequins are also making an appearance to add a little sparkle to the looks.
For guys, blues, greens, and pinks are the popular color choice this year, although matching a date’s dress is always the style. Plaids are a popular pattern for this year.
Along with color trends, certain styles are popular this year too.
For the girls, cutout dresses are a popular choice this year and for the guys it stays the same old suit but with a colorful bowtie instead of the average black and white suits.
Where could you buy these trendy styles around Carlisle? Well there are several hometown options that will help you save money.
For the girl’s, the best places to shop for that perfect homecoming dress is Khols, Forever 21, and JC Penny. If you can’t find anything at these stores, try online dress shopping at sites like Missguided and ASOS.
For the guy’s, the best local places to shop are the BonTon, Wardecker’s Menswear, and Khols. A great online retailer is Nordstrom for every suit need.
Overall, homecoming is just around the corner and being prepared is the key to the perfect night!

Homecoming was such a great experience, and I really enjoyed seeing the variety of styles at the dance. Other suggestion for future dances are the Time Bomb and Clothes Vine. These dresses are often more expensive but they have a classic look always and guarantee an original dress unlike any others on the dance floor!
