Jeff Lebo played basketball at Carlisle High School through 1981 to 1985.

Lebo is currently the head coach of Eastern Carolina University, a position he has held since 2010.

He attended the University of North Carolina (1986-1989)

Basketball History: He scored over 2,000 points during his high school career at CHS. During his senior year, the team won the 4A championship. Lebo was a four year starter for UNC Tarheels. He received the Patterson Award for being UNC’s top student-athlete. Lebo was a member of the San Antonio Spurs during the 1989-1990 season. He started his coaching career as an assistant coach at East Tennessee State University (1990-1992), Vanderbilt University (1992-1993), and University of South Carolina (1993-1998). He was a head coach at Tennessee Tech (1998-2002), University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2002-2004), and Auburn (2004-2010). Lebo was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach-of-the-Year in 2000, 2001, and 2002. He ended his 2012-2013 season at ECU with a record of 23-12.

His most memborable time at CHS was “winning the State Championship my senior year.”

Lebo’s words of encouragement to today’s student-athletes: “You must be mentally and physically tough to fight through adversity. You will see it many times and you can’t cave in when it comes.”
