Despite changes to the finals schedule, all core classes are still expected to have some sort of final. There will be no exemptions from finals, regardless of a student’s grade in class. Many details are still being resolved regarding this process.

Alex O’Donely, Senior: “I don't like the fact that teachers aren't making it optional, but I do like that teachers could possibly make finals smaller because of the change in policy.”

Jenea P. Rentze, Junior: “This is worse, as the kids who work hard deserve something for it, and the kids who don’t work hard should be given more motivation to do it, as finals are usually the breaking point between getting like an A or a B.”

Sabina Lecrone, Sophomore: “They should leave it how it was last year, so people could take advantage of the time they would have been doing finals and use it as a vacation. The people who get good grades deserve to not have to do finals."

Anna Hetherington, Freshman: “Because the standards changed, then it removes the drive to do well in class, since you’ll have to do the finals anyways."
