Carlisle High School’s prom theme is A Night at Gatsby’s and was held on Saturday, May 17th from 7-10 PM at Letort View Community Center (313 Lovell Avenue, on the Carlisle Barracks), as usual. Everyone over the age of 18 had to fill out the form that was given to them during the ticket-buying process to be allowed in, and everyone, regardless of age, was required to have a form of ID.
Tickets were sold in the McGowan cafeteria during all lunches from April 22 to May 2 for $40. This charge includes admission, a prom gift, appetizers and drinks, and pictures at the photo booth.
When approached with a theme based on The Great Gatsby, we at Periscope think of gold, flashy, romantic (but still dress code appropriate) attire heavily based on the grandeur of the roaring ‘20s. For entry, a school ID/drivers license and ticket had to be shown. There was no entry after 8pm, so attendees had to get in quick!
The week of April 28, Juniors cast their vote for prom Prince and Princess. Kymori Cadet and Ruby Book took the crowns.
At the same time, Seniors voted for prom King (Bram Checkett) and Queen (Saniya Nick). Below are the courts!
