On Your Ballot- PA State Senator District 34
Due to redistricting, Carlisle now falls in District 34 of Pennsylvania, one of the 25 seats up for reelection in the State Senate. The State Senate is the upper house of the Pennsylvania Congress, and they work alongside the PA House of Representatives to create laws and establish a state budget. State Senate also passes bills on public policy matters, sets levels for state spending, raises and lowers taxes, and votes to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes. A State Senator term lasts for 4 years.
